Frozen Drinks for the Rich: Compliments of the Margaritaville Tahiti Maker

Do you ever find yourself lounging around your mansion at night, discover that your butler is no where to be found and you just need a frozen drink?  Well, rich lady, I’ve got the thing for you!

The Margaritaville Tahiti Frozen Concoction Maker , for only $489.95, can make three frozen drinks at the same time.   Amongst the programmable drink options are margarita (hence the name), mudslide, daquiri, smoothie, colada and mojito .  It even shaves ice to make the drinks more “restaurant-quality” because for almost $500 this machine should maybe also come with a restaurant, or at least a bartender!

But seriously, this would be a really fun gift on a wedding registry , assuming you have friends that want to drop some serious cash on your drinking entertainment.  Or if you are the kind of person who does a lot of entertaining, this could end up paying off; with frozen drinks usually running $10+ a pop, after your first few parties you’d break even.

I think it’s just the upfront $500 to acquire this item that makes it hard for me to imagine buying it.  I’m more the $39.99 Ninja Master Prep Food and Drink Maker type girl.  Sure, it only makes one drink at a time, and won’t shave my ice, just blend it, but if it makes drinks that do their job, no one will be sober enough to question the machine.
