Burma fermented tea is called laphet or lephet. Some online research shows that it is mighty difficult to find--is there a Burmese market near you? If not, perhaps a large Chinese (like 99 Ranch) will have some! Good luck and let me know if you find any!

I've been wanting to make this for a while, thank you for posting! I can't find tea leaves in Chicago. I went to a Korean market with no luck and am heading to an Asian market today. Any suggestions on where to go, what to section to look in, etc etc? I feel a bit lost on how to find the tea leaves.
